Haim, i've no issue with what you're saying , except that i would qualify the 'they'll inflate us out of the hole' statement. because they've been trying to do just that for months now, so i'd say they will keep TRYING, but whether they'll succeed is not certain at all. remember, in the deflationary bust, the ills of the economy are not amenable to monetary cures. both overindebtedness and industrial overcapacities can't really be fought with easy money. and one can't say that Japan didn't try that path, because it sure did.
consider, this week alone another $1 trillion were wiped from the US stock bubble alone...this is no trifle. it's going much faster than it came.
but i agree that the eventual oversold bounce could be pretty hefty...so was the last one, and it sure fooled the majority of people.
