I didn't create anything...

And in fact, I'm dubious that the average American is responsible for creating Bin Laden...

I certainly don't know Bin Laden... nor do I believe the evidence reflect that the US government was involved in his creation, except by the fact that we've been hunting him down since we discovered he was behind the bombing of our embassies in Africa (where most of the victims were indigenous people and NOT American).

One of these days you're going to grow up to be a big boy Thomas....

...and you're finally going to learn that we Americans live in a brutal neighborhood populated by poor brutal people who will do anything to take away our principles. And once in a while someone, who's life isn't as nice as your's, is going to throw rocks through your window...

And from time to time they are going to injure, maim, or kill one of your family members with those rocks.

And you don't have a police department you can call to protect you... so you have to suck in your gut, "grab hold"(if you, in fact, have anything worth grabbing), and go out there on the street to thump some heads all by your lonesome self... hoping and praying that one of your neighbors will have the guts to come out and stand by you.

Of course, Chomskyites like yourself would be left cringing in your house, with your families terrorized and in fear, with you telling them that this wouldn't be happening if the former inhabitant hadn't put all of those landmines out there..

Why should we clear other land mines, when we are ACTIVELY BLOCKING the efforts by relief organizations from clearing American-made mines?

The only active land mine field that we would have would be in places like the DMZ in Korea. It would be stupid to remove those mines. Those mines are unlikely to kill anyone unless North Korea invades. The only point to removing them might be to set an example for other to remove their mines but since they don't have to follow our example it would not be worth it.
