OK, now George Jr. has given a magnificent speech that says exactly what needs to be said, and he is to be commended for the wisdom of acceding to whoever (including himself) is responsible for the pacing, the phrasing, the emphasis, and the general intelligence and reasonableness and even charity. This does not change the fundamental unsoundness of the American financial system as it now stands. The direction of the stock markets may reverse for a few days or a few weeks, but what's overvalued is still overvalued.
