Why is this? >> The economy was already cooling down during the Clinton/Gore administration. The stock market got to an insane evaluation, and had no other direction to go. In fact, I still find the market overvalued by around 30%. Now..... as far as security, I fault the Bush administration for not heeding all of the warnings and threats. What the hell were they thinking! But, there is also blame to go around. Sen Kerry's(D) office received an urgent video tape and warnings about critical and dangerous security problems at Logan airport. Kerry's office just forwarded the info to the GAO! What the hell were they thinking! << Clinton in a nearly superhuman effort was able to fight off the sniping and attacks of Scaife ... >> It is a shame that so much attention was focused on a conservative attack against our President. If that attention was focused, for all those years, on real issues, perhaps we could have avoided this catastropy. << Who's fault is it? ... the clearly negligent like Condalina Rice to say "Forget the Mid East, let these people fight it out amongst themselves". >> Where the hell was she when all the threatening info was coming in? I thought that she had something to do with our security. << Clueless George is now proposing war and he's proposing a war that he doesn't understand or even know who to ask for answers. >> I hope not. I hope that he is going to allow the great military planners and strategists to run the show (with most of the world's help), and let the politicians take a back seat. We will see. If the politicians run this war against terrorism, over tea in the oval office, we are in real trouble. But, in the meantime, we have got to trust in Bush and his administration, and hope for the best. What else can we do? We need a united country. We need to stand behind our government. We will soon find out how safe we are, and how effective our government is. I hope that you are wrong.
