I'll suggest what Hillary was thinking. She was thinking she wished SHE had been first Lady during a crisis like this, and that Bill Clinton, or she herself, could have given that speech better...and she was wishing Bill had had such an opportunity...but instead, Bill's biggest impression made, was one of adultery and of falsely accusing honest and innocent American female citizens of being liars when they told the truth on him. Then she thought about the unforgiving minute, and the fact that it can't be done over, and she realized she was stuck with her lot and the Bush's had just upstaged her team without really trying, just by the happenstance of events, and she wished she and Bill had had the same luck. Yeah, this last would be right where she was when the camera caught her- a women who knew she was beaten, and sour about it; Or perhaps a moment later, when she felt the guilt as she realized how shallow and self-serving was her thinking- um,...naw.
