Woohoo! Agreement (I think!) Much better to be centrist or denomination neutral. All those Jews and non-Christians won't be all that excited about a particular faction gaining the helm.

Many people will not vote for someone who is extreme in their view because they fear someone worse will be put in power (more left, less religious). Throw the Christian Coalition a bone , and they will toe the more moderate line.
