You freaking moron the liberals and their stooges in government have run the education system for the last 50 years. Ever since Jimmy Carter created the Department Of Education the decline has rapidly advanced. They replaced education leaders with psychiatrists and their radical ideas including ritalin and the rest of their crap. DO you ever read ? The facts are irrefutable. The Goal of the public school system is no longer reading writing and arithmetic but diversity tolerance and an anti-American agenda stressing the world wide community.
Even in Europe the socialists quickly dropped the radical education concepts adopted by the extremists on the left. They dropped them because they don't work. They use the classical methods of teaching that have shown themselves to work.
LIKE ALL BRAINWASHED LIBERALS YOUR ANSWER IS ALWAYS MONEY NEVER IDEAS !!!

TP:
I am not from Texas, I actually grew up in CA, I have just been a resident of TX. Currently, the State government is preferable to that of California. The electricity works in other states, all of the time. But I can trade the good weather in CA, for the utilities!

I made a list of what is good about Texas.
They have Tex Mex, the cost of living is good, and Dell is in Texas.

I am unfamiliar with the Public schools, or the specifics.
Texas was one of the best States for prospective teachers when I was in School. The schools often do not retain the qualified teachers. Other industries actively recruit teachers, and it is good experience for a career elsewhere. That is sad! The pay across the board, nationally, is a problem for teachers, but that happened before Bush. I can understand that you are worried for your children. That concerns me too, and school in general is an issue with which I will get to contend.

I think the problems are national and Bush inherited a lot of problems, from Clinton.

I do not want to be cynical, because that never helps. I am very happy with the job that Bush is doing. This time is not easy for anyone. I do not think that Al Gore was the solution!

Let me clarify: I love the weather in CA, I prefer high utility bills to hot weather in Texas! :)

OT

TP: One last statement about Texas.
I think that Austin has got to be one of the best places to live in TX.
