In the long run, of course, you're right! Charismatic and Fundamentalist churches have been eating away at Catholicism for years.

My mother was telling me that the Presbyterians, Anglican, and Catholics (maybe the Lutherans too) have been in the process of unification to increase the effectiveness of their respective implementations of the Christian faith. They all share a confession of some type (Presbyterians call it an Invocation - a group confession). My mother is active in the Presbyterian church. I went and was a member for a while when I was in my early teens. Can't say much of it rubbed off on me, but they do have a good service.
