08:17 ET Goldman on 3G Wireless : Goldman Sachs says a recent conference sponsored by the firm in Rome confirms Goldman's belief that 3G is far from being a reality due to 1) technical difficulties, 2) the absence of applications, and 3) limited market demand. While ultimately the firm expects wireless data to be widely accepted by the market, firm is more convinced than ever that this is several years away in Europe, AND WILL OCCUR EVEN LATER IN THE U.S.AND CANADA.
