The intel services have to have a czar who can bang heads together and shake out the deadwood and criminals lurking around who don't answer to anybody, and haven't for decades. It's a very powerful and necessary position. It demands a person of integrity, and w/out b.s. hidden agendas, not a political or military toady The question is whether Ridge is the man So far he looks good in his bio but hard to believe he has the stature. Maybe he has the support to give him that stature. I'm looking for other comments but haven't found anything beyond Dershowitz.
