it is not the question what info shall be revealed to the public...perhaps only enough to hinder speculation...

the real question is what the U.S. forces can do at all. They could nuke, or invade afghanistan (if and as there are so many suspects), but...to what help. "$2M missiles on a few empty $10 tents". And the terrorists would launch their next attack in a week.
