Hi Neo

I agree with your first paragraph almost entirely, and I thank-you for the complement, I think.

I also agree that attention to minute theological details often leads to unnecessary wrangling, however there is a clear bottom line in Christianity. It's called the Gospel. It's clearest delineation is perhaps found in the 15th chpt of 1st Corinthians

1 Corinthians 15
"Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles and last of all, as to one untimely born,
He appeared to me also."

that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

This is the simplest expression of what constitutes a Christian

Classic liberalism rejects every aspect of this, and therefore, believes what it believes "in vain"

Neocon, who gave you the right to judge me?....yourself? others?....God? Are you absolutely certain that you know what discretion is while I on the other hand have never learned what it means? (no criticism of you, although Chris land has never learned discretion).

I preach to people that they are sinners and on their way to hell if they do not repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It's that simple.

What righteous standard are you using to judge and condemn me by on these threads?

Chris
