I hope for everyone's sake that doesn't happen. We have a generation of people bordering on retirement. their retirement money is in the market almost exlusively. do we want a generation of insolvent retirees to take care of? Be careful what you wish for.

well, that would be quite a wake-up call. but note that a 70% decline in the NAZ was basically ignored as a temporary anomaly. the bull market psychology remains largely unscathed, and that is rather scary.
