However, you are absolutely correct..

I think you may find that some, if not most, European publics are runnning farther in support of the US than are their leaderships or "European news commentators." Much commentary can be traced to an "intellectual snobbery/elite" that thrives on poking a finger in the eye of the US, virtually whatever the issue.

It isn't just the BBC. The so called intelligent folks here often talk utter B/S. I've heard it all. But the overall current mood is much in favor of the USA and the anti Bush " the intellectual lightweight" B/S is being crushed underfoot.

This situation requires some skill to keep the momentum in the right lane. I have my fingers crossed.
