OSX maybe a decent bet here on the long side. The first missile launched at an oil tanker, an aircraft carrier or at an export terminal and the shorts will be screaming.

Que, I agree with you in principle. I'm just trying to sort out fact from fiction about "Bombs are dropping in Iraq" that you posted today.

I agree, even balanced against lower demand as the economy continues to slow. It's also a good argument against going long tech right now. I imagine that some of the most likely terrorist targets are energy related. If you're from the midlle east, you should have a good understanding of the importance of oil and the bottlenecks and vulnerable points of supply, processing and delivery. I can't imagine what $50 dollar oil would do to an already struggling world economy, much less oil at higher prices. I'm not buying these bargain prices yet in tech but I am thinking of going long osx.

Can JimP or someone talk about the downside for deepwater driller or other osx companies here? Ed
