carranza...we have been saying that for so long now. At some point, no one will say that. There will always be die hards like those who held G* all the way to the bottom. But I suspect those in cash are not in any hurry to take advantage of any of those bargains today. The script is being rewritten as we speak and no one knows where it is taking us.

If folks start playing with options now and we go down another 50% in the NAZ all their intelligence in "timing" by getting out before this nightmare happened will be moot. They will still end up losing it all...ALL.

Ugh.

Nothing has changed for the LTB&H crowd who are in Q because of the CDMA promise. If it has, I would surely like to know about it so I can reconsider what I'm doing.

I dont think that there will be much impact directly on Q's business (unless we see this result in a drastic decline in the economy) but I do think that it will effect Q's valuation. The cumulative effect of all of the spending that will take place on security and rebuilding NY will be stimulative in the short-term but negative in the long-term. This money is going to non-productive uses and is inherently going to lower the long-term possible GDP growth by some percentage. This would likely lower the possbile PE ratios that the market will support....and thus Qualcomm.

The instability of the current situation will also likely lower the overall PE of the market. Any lack of visability requires a higher discount rate to be attached to equities.

I dont know how much of a total impact these forces will have....but they should be considered.
