That's my worry. After everything i've read in the last 10 days, part of it courtesy of this great thread & also stuff you culled, scott, I feel our nuclear facilities and the containment pools (just sitting there unprotected) are our greatest danger. A bomb or small plane could release chernobyl style radiation. And that makes me extremely worried about any major city--in the northeast, midwest, and the west. Including NYC

our transportation system is clearly a target
some more places to protect
SF Golden Gate Bridge
Oakland Bay Bridge
NYC GeoWashington
Brooklyn Bridge
Boston Tobin
Chicago Skyway
Tampa Bay Bridge
and 25 others

imagine people too scared to drive across a bridge !!!

on DDay, we heard of Holland and Lincoln Tunnels closed
what of Boston's Callahan and the Other tunnel?

we are vulnerable to an astonishing level
it boggles my mind how we build with no regard to risk

the protection of our many critical arteries, landmarks, water systems, chemical plants, oil refineries, nuclear plants will cost money

I heard it called a tax when referring to airlines
it is a tax anywhere, a passed-on cost to protect
and this will slow our entire economy further
a tax with no productivity benefit (except not being destroyed)

I hope Pandora's Box closes
but I doubt it will, not after our military strikes hard

for first time, I know a young soldier heading to sea
a tough kid in Mass who finished first in survival training
amphibious unit
