I'm not sure whether it counts as insider info. However, I'd bet management would not appreciate the posting of internal memos. There are ways to track down and silence people who irritate a company sufficiently.

In any case, I don't think the chart would look any different, if this news hadn't come out then. It's in the stock, and the stock is moving with the market and sector.

I just shake my head in wonder, looking at the Nas since October 1998. So much opportunity to lose and make money. It looks like a picture of Denali.

If an AMAT employee "on this thread", was to give out information, it would be considered inside trading.

And nobody "I" wants to be pinned as an inside trader, loosing your job would follow.

Employees are required not to saying anything until two days after it is offically announced.
