I have no argument with you that foreign policy mistakes in the past have in part come home to roost.

However, what we probably will see now is a very dramatic change in foreign policy. I can't say if it will be better, in the long run, or not.

The difference between the world apart and the western world is that we will seek to do the most good and the least harm, for the long run.

So we got here on one road; the more important question, I think, is what kind of road will we take in the future.
