Just dipped in here and started yanking on your thread with joseph about the definition of a terrorist. You seem to be confused about the difference between guerilla war and terrorism. The Irgun didn't commit indiscriminate acts of mass murder against civilians, i.e. non-military targets. Neither did the Viet Cong. Unfortunately, by this definition, we were more likely the terrorists in Vietnam.

Having said that, I don't agree with the policy of assassination being carried out in Israel either. And Cheney's public hedge on that issue some months ago was like pouring gasoline on the fires of Palestinian hatred for us.

As far as Israel's right to exist, sure, maybe it was a bad deal for the Palestinian's 50 years ago. Get over it. We're not going back there. There will be no peace there as long as fanatics continue to work toward the destruction of Israel.
