We can start by enforcing UN Resolutions that tell Israel to get the heck out of the territories and give the Palestinians the right to return to their proprerties that were confiscated. And short of that, to be consistent with actions against others who flaunt international law, to send in the military. I was thinking when this started that one of the avenues to peace would be your first point. Some give and take. Massive capitulation also required on the PA part as well. However do you think that this current and escalating conflict is really about Israel? I do not. Israel and foreign policy are mere diversions and excuses which the fanatics will use to the fullest extent possible to whip their populations into a frenzy. I think the end game for Bin Laden and others who think like him is simple - the creation of a very large fundamentalist Islamic state spanning several of what now exist as independant countries. Probably not a straight line from here to there, but that's what I think is the goal for them. I think they are no less ambitious than Hitler was and just as evil. Israel is an after thought. Just a guess.
