When the data shows that HATE CRIMES are on the INCREASE in this nation. No wonder you would like to spin your dogma.. Hurts doesn't it to have to spin your deceptions with falsehoods. You being the Christian that is!

Did you hear the President of the United STates talking last night or were you toooooo business watching the facial expressions on SENATOR Hillary Clinton. You must have missed that part that he uselessly brought up about interolence in this country TODAY.

Of the total reported incidents, 4,295 were motivated by racial bias, 1,411 by religious bias, 1,317 by sexual-orientation bias, 829 by ethnicity/national origin bias, 19 by disability bias, and 5 by multiple biases. (Hate Crime Statistics, 1999).

"During 1998, a total of 7,755 bias-motivated criminal incidents were reported to the FBI by 10,730 law enforcement agencies in 46 States and the District of Columbia. Of the 7,755 incidents, 4,321 were motivated by racial bias; 1,390 by religious bias; 1,260 by sexual-orientation bias; 754 by ethnicity/national origin bias; 25 by disability bias; and 5 by multiple biases" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).

"The 7,755 incidents involved 9,235 separate offenses, 9,722 victims, and 7,489 known offenders. Seventy percent of the incidents involved only one individual (person) victim, while 97 percent involved a single offense type" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).
"Eight of every ten of the 9,722 reported hate crime victims were individuals (people); the remaining were businesses, religious organizations, or various other targets" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).
"Thirteen persons were murdered in 1998 in hate-motivated incidents. Racial bias motivated 8 of the murders; sexual-orientation bias, 4; and ethnicity/national origin bias, the remaining 1" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).
"Offenders were unknown for 3,686 or 48 percent of the incidents. Thirty-five percent of the 7,489 known offenders in 1998 were reported in connection with the offense of intimidation" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).
During 1998, 14% of State agencies had specially designated personnel assigned to address hate crimes, 33% with special policies or procedures that addressed hate crimes, 4% of State agencies had civilians assigned to units, and 49% of State agencies had no special policies or procedures governing hate crimes (Law Enforcement Management and Administrative Statistics, 1997).
In 1994, of all prosecutors offices serving a population size of 500,000 or more, 85 percent prosecuted felony hate crime cases (Prosecutors in State Courts, 1994).
"In 1998, the majority of reported hate crime incidents, 31 percent, occurred in/on residential properties. Incidents perpetrated on highways/roads/alleys/streets accounted for 20 percent, and 9 percent occurred at schools/colleges. The remaining incidents were widely distributed among various locations" (Hate Crime Statistics, 1998).
Twenty-three percent of college campuses with 2,500 enrolled students had a special hate crime program or unit operated by campus law enforcement agencies (Campus Law Enforcement Agencies, 1995).
For more than 30 years, the Department of Justice (DOJ), Community Relations Service (CRS) has assisted in settling destructive conflicts and disturbances. In 1996, CRS helped governors, mayors, tribal leaders, police chiefs, school superintendents, and community leaders bring 827 cases of community-wide conflicts to peaceful closure in all 50 states (Hate Crime: The Violence of Intolerance, 1997).
Among the reports analyzed, five States reported incident-based statistics in the form of hate-bias crimes in their annual reports. These incidents were usually classified by motivation for hate-bias which includes race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and disability (State Use of Incident-Based Crime Statistics).
