I would disagree.

I would say all wars are economic.

G-d takes a back seat to people when they are satiated with material goods.

Most people who call themselves Christian, Jew, or Moslem are nominally so.

I want to hear more on the number 11 that you referred to yesterday, please.

All wars are religous in nature. Everyone since the start of time.

ROFLMAO! The American Civil War? The American War for Independence? Get your head out of the Bible and look around the world.

There's nothing HOLY about war PERIOD.

I guess you'd have to go back to the discussion that religon is a man-made entity used to justify our existence and explain the world around us.....why not include war in that?

Please don't blast me with religous debate - I'm not saying religon is wrong or bad. In fact, there's nothing wrong with religon - just that when God spoke to people, people wrote it down and over time, other people re-wrote it to "fit the times". Its our nature to "edit" words and to think about words and find new meaning, draw new conclusions etc. I'm just saying that even religon has been subverted by those "in power" to justify a cause - just as these terrorists are doing now.

Remember, religion is a very powerful part of our lives - we believe strongly one way or another, in one thing or another - I'm sure there have been people who understood this and took advantage of this. To do so, they needed to rewrite a few things here and there to convince us. Back in those days, the copies of these important writings were maintained by a select few (reading and writing weren't the norm back in those early years). So doing this wasn't impossible.

Let's also remember the people who wrote the Old Testament - they were fighting for their lives all the time. War was a part of their life so why not justify it through their religon?
