Jimmy Allen(actually a very fine gentleman IMO) was I think the second highest person in the Southwestern Baptist convention. He had a son that also in the ministery.(Also a very fine young man) The son had a wife and they DID have a child. Notice the DID? Sadly, the wife contracted AIDS and transmitted it to the son, resulting in the child's death. Now before you jump to the wrong conclusion and question the daughter-in-law's sexual activity, you should know she contracted AIDS via a blood transfusion in a hospital. Now remember the son was also in the ministery and what would you expect from CHRISTIAN church members when their minister and his wife were going through such tragic times...love, compassion, sympathy. Would you settle for at least one of these christian principals? But NO! The church members ran him off...kicked him out of THEIR church. His wife had AIDS...be yea gone from our flock and God's house. And now to the Rev. Walker Raley. And let me digress and say "IF" Pro, Thomas and Gold are correct...this man will surely burn in Hell. The good Rev. Raley just happened to be the pastor of the largest Methodist church in Dallas, Texas. He was scheduled to be the next Bishop of the Methodist groups in the southwest. But it seems that the good Pastor Raley had a trouser lizard that he couldn't control. Seem that HIS WIFE couldn't take care of the good pastor when he wasn't in the pulpit. So Pastor Raley took up with a good comforter and member of his church..as we say here in Texas a real "fox". Now at this stage of the story you are probably getting a little put out with the good REV...but you ain't heard the worst part of this saga. Seems that the good REV was out with the Fox one night but he keep calling home and leaving messages on their recorder saying he was at the SMU library working on ..get this ...a sermon that he wanted to preach. Without going into all the details....just so happened.. A intruder attack his wife IN THEIR garage that night and left her for dead. He "comes" home and finds here and calls the police..His wife survived the attack but she has never recovered from her coma. She lives today in Tyler, Texas and all her expenses are being paid by her family. But wait a minute! The husband..the Rev. Walker Raley had a job as a minister and did I mention they had children? The good REV. abandoned his wife...he has never visited her since and she lies in a coma ...and as for the kids....abandoned them also. They have now been adopted by a family living in Oklahoma. If this wasn't tragic enough, he was actually arrested for this crime but because of the exclusion of pertinent evidence...evidence such as him abandoning his wife and children was never allowed into evidence he was acquited by a jury in a west Texas community that didn't now the details of the Dallas event. As the story winds to an end, the good Rev moved to California and shacked up with his former "fox" but last I heard she had moved on...but get this...what work did the good REV take up in California...got him one of those pulpit jobs...But thankfully his past finally caught up and he gave up the job.. Don't know what he is doing now...but I bet I could get a phone number of where his children are living in Oklahoma and give it to him.....one would think after ten years that at least a phone call would be in order. But if I were them...I wouldn't take the call. There are books about both Rev. Allen and Walker Raley available. Wouldn't waste my money on the Raley book but the Allen book would be worth the money....
