Let's not forget Canada's ambassador to Iran snuck U.S. citizen's out of that country during the hostage crisis. Pretty good going and couragous, could have led to Canadian hostages, too. Canada's not a bad friend imo.

I think there is perhaps a bit taken for granted, kinda like a brother or sister that you never say I love you or such. It goes with out saying, but perhaps it should not be.

I think that a lot of the documentaries, particularly WWII, generally view(ed) Canada as an extension of the UK.

I've seen Canada mentioned in several WW2 documentaries.

Also in movies like "Hell's Brigade" and "The Finest Day"...

ps: fyi - I may not have those titles right..

"Canadians are behind the USA 110%"

I have no doubt about that. The only point I was trying to make is that Canadians should not feel slighted that they were not mentioned last night. If it was a speech to thank all the countries who have or will contribute it would still be going.

Damn glad you are with us. I had no doubt that you were. And I am looking forward to the next time I can visit your great country. Last time I was there I got engaged, and now a little baby on the way that is a product of our marriage.
