This week was definitely a bad time to short the market--when things were so vulnerable. You know I agree w/ you.

Overall though, tides always turn and shorts get caught and have to cover. It does create more volatility overall.

Unless someone shorted a thousand points higher, anyone shorting at this level has a pretty high risk/reward ratio. I just don't buy into the theory that shorting is causing this market to tank, I think it is selling into fear, pure and simple, along with margin calls on the big boys. Anyone long should hope that it is shorters causing this, since shorts have to cover.
