Hello Ronnie.

I just read Sonki's post to me and I guess you read it also in the meantime. She did a pretty good job of going back to 1998 and retrieving some of our old messages from that time period. I personally are not set up to locate posts from that far back. I will have to ask her how she is doing this.

Yes, a lot of individual. investors were pretty patriotic and bought some stock like many advocated. But you can't say the same thing of the short sellers. They took pretty good advantage of brave indiv. investors or at least that's what I got out of all the coverage on TV. Little investors bought or at least stayed put. There is also talk that Mutual Fund investors didn't do much redeeming so why quite a few Funds sold is questionable. The culprits of most of the selling seemed to have been the Hedge Funds. Shorting.

I guess we all know that the market will go up again evtl. The question is: When? You just can't trust those big guys anymore and most of the analysts don't really have a clue themselves of what's going on but they fig. it's safe to say that the market will still go lower. But at least there is lots of talk out there now that a bottom may be reached soon because the volatility indicator is up very high.
I heard this talk about climatic selling on Monday morning and maybe a turnaround later on in the day and then up, up we go. I am sitting on my stocks so far no matter which way it will go. I hope I have the stomach not to sell some things when things look the bleakest. That has never been a good way to go.

About you losing money since last Monday, you really don't want to hear my story. Hm.

The President gave a very good speech and the Congress seems to be working together. I can't remember a time like this so maybe the economy will have a chance.

Let's hope nothing else happens in the near future and maybe things will be safer in the more distant future.

I did watch a lot of the Memorials on TV and it was so very much moving. Suddenly some of those songs are held dear to most everyone's heart again.

Let's hope for a better market this week.

Sonny
