The point is that all information in the White has the delay of the time transmission from whatever source. It is not clear that this detailed source of information used in the story was live or real time to the White House. In that this situation had never occurred it is reasonable to assume that the information what spotty and chaotic. A reasonable assumption that the White house was under attack makes perfect sense.

A plane had in the past crashed into the White House. There was a plane a minute away that was hijacked and heading in the general direction of the White House.

Do you see all the ambiguity? So any who proclaim that in the hours of this event any had any certainty are clueless to the chaos and uncertainty.

2. When richie the dunce made his claim about Bush's lack of courage, etc. there is absolutely no way anyone could have known at that time what the target was. In truth, we will never know......
