there would have been hope for a change I think had this incident not coincided with the onset of the kind of economic tough love that will soon revert people to their former selves or worse.

Still a change epic enough to keep the Big Apple's legendary barristers at bay in the midst of perhaps the highest dollar volume catastrophe of all time is a bit more than we can hope for just yet.
