ARS, you are mistaking countries backing us with populations backing us.
Most of the countries backing us have significant numbers of the population violently opposed
to their governments' support of the USA.
I guarantee you that the US would much rather forego Egypt's support in this case if the alternative
is to let that country fall under the spell of the extreme religious factions.
