Hi Kirk,

Most of what I have is in gold and energy so I have been able to weather the drop, but even I am down--the downdraft is hurting everything. My fiancee lost 12,000 in one day in one mutual fund. The same day she had a bond fund that went up 8,000. That was Monday of course.

Downward movement will feed on itself. There could be a panic yet even from here to get out with something.

Bush needs to prosecute this thing quickly before we reach that point.

Investors should be 15% in gold right now minimum. A panic in the markets from here will go into precious metals.

As imperfect as Brinker's advice may be, I have to thank my lucky stars that he taught me about the need for bonds when nearing retirement.
