I was in Zabar's yesterday--New York's favorite gourmet store & the most successful retail store in the country--and when I was checking out, they asked if I wanted to round up my purchase to the next nearest dollar to help the WTC vicitms. I said sure. I thought, wow, that's a neat way to raise a lot of $. It's less than $1 a person (and some probably add in $10 or $20 or $100, whatever) but considering how many people go there a day--

If a lot of our stores & superstores did that, a lot of $ would be raised. I wonder for example if the Starbucks chains could do that.
