That's what amazes me, outside of Sacramento, in a place called El Dorado Hills California, near a big Intel campus. 10 miles from our 40 acres there are 100's homes going up, carpenters and tradesmen are swamped. The only effect so far has been softening of the high-end $1m - $2m price range. One near us offered at $1.9m 6 months ago is now at $1.3m, but it was overpriced to begin with. Then again, some nut is just about finished building a 25,000 square-foot 3 miles away from us on a country road.

We're in the path of an big exodus from Silicon Valley, 2hrs away, going on for the past few years.

I'm wondering if the flow will increase after the attack, especially from San Francisco, or if the crash will have an effect. We'll find out in the next few weeks.
