And isn't is morbidly ironic the very people who were speaking out about short sellers being unpatriotic and taking advantage of a disaster to make money by selling short are the same ones who are now looking to profit from companies that have the potential to make money off this disaster?

Shame on you, you hyprocrits(sp)! FTW, I did not short any airlines, hotels, insurance companies or any others that were directly affected by this horrific disaster. I remained short the overvalued stocks that were already in the middle of their correction.

And if by some act of God these stocks come back on a sympathy rally, I will shoot them down again. Remember folks we are still largely in a bubble whose air is far from deflated.

Think with your brains not your greed!

In fact I'm so sure your beloved stock won't regain the upper 60s again for a year if at all, I'll bet anyone 1 fine ounce of gold, at market price. But if it hits 25 before than, you owe me one ounce of gold. How's that sound?.... Got the guts to take me up on the deal? Anyone?

I'll take that bet. QCOM bid or ask during regular market hours at 25.0 vs 69.0 on or before Sept 21, 2002.

Now that Q has fallen some 40%+ from when I came here, I feel some vindication,

I think the overall market might have had something to do with it.

You must be a real treat at funerals, snickering in the background.

I'm in. $25 vs. $69 whichever comes first. 1 ounce of fine gold. Make mine an American Eagle. Payment arrangements to be made at time of price being hit.

chojiro:

"...I'll bet anyone 1 fine ounce of gold, at market price."

If QCOM hits 25 before it again reaches 65 plus (is that your upper 60's?) then you get 1 fine ounce? Otherwise you pay 1 fine ounce?

I'll take that bet if it is open to me.
