This is sort of an appendix to my Bye bye post to you and a little bit more. Lorne, if truth be known, you have always needed showers badly everyday before you post and showers to keep cool after reading others' replies. To the best of my knowledge, no one was making a mockery of the tragic events of last week. It is you who have to evolve to realize that other people can and do have worldviews different than yours. This is NOT a rah-rah thread as much as you, and that seething-like-a volcano A.H. and that as-hirsute-as-a-gorilla (due possibly to an excess of testosterone???) and potential stroke victim G.T. want it to be. Stop indulging in fantasies and stop your fear-mongering about loss of freedom. In case you didn't know, the coming battle will be over sooner than you expect. Lots of people don't seem to know that despite the show of solidarity on the part of the Arabs, they are not as united as you think. For example, Syria and Iraq are opposed to each other, and even within Palestine there are factions that are suspicious of one another. Arab tribes and countries have always been suspicious of one another. (Read T.E. Lawrence's "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" and see the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" (get it from your video store). As always the Arabs have been noted for their rhetoric. Talk is cheap! Trouble is folks like you with your lamb-to-the-slaughterhouse and masochistic mentality (while mouthing off your patriotism and whatnot blah3) are overly fearful that the Arabs and Afghans are going to WALK! all over us. And after all this nonsense, can you really expect that others have to think like you and the other rah-rah fellas do. What presumption and arrogance and stupidity! Though you say your name is Lorne, I am still not sure whether you are a HE or a SHE or whatever. And there is your compatriot "Bob": I am not sure whether this "Bob" is a Robert or a Roberta or whatever though I think "Bob" had often whined like a SHE does. But you Lorne, at times, bark like a little pup while standing under the protective belly and between the legs of a bigger pup. <ggg> I would not have written this but for the fact that Nosmo wrote in support of me once before. P.S. Will they walk over us? For sure, not this time! Maybe later on if and when we really deserve it. But others think we deserve it already. As ever, lots of different views! But please don't you now start deluding yourself that I am beginning to promote smugness and self-complacency and cockiness, the very things I have been 'preaching' against.
