Seems odd no one hits the sensitivity alarm button when these people pronounce the followers of my religion and others, "infidels".

Again, we were not discussing religion. We were wondering what was behind the usage of "Muslim" versus "Moslem".

Your comment is strictly another topic. But I am not unwilling to discuss it with you if you would but grant me a short period in which to fetch my drycleaning...

...By "these people" you are, of course, referring to the "infidels". "Infidels" is a Christian term derived fron the latin, "in fidelis". It is used by Christians to refer to Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, and generally speaking--all who do not believe that Christianity is the one true religion. The "official" Catholic verson is more refined diue to their impeccable and unbiased scholarship:

It should also be noted that the term is now in broad usage in all religions to refer to "those peope" who are not privy to the absolute truth--that wonderful truth to which they are fortunate enough to have been bathed and purified in-the truth that God hates everyone who is from a different religious orientaton and wears different clothing, and has different religious rituals. God has always made it clear that there is only one correct way to splatter the blood...

As the Christians slaughtered the "infidels" across Europe, another group of people found that they were the ones who God cared about, and backed...and thus the Christians themselves became infidels. Kinda makes your heart sing, doesn't it?

Obviously, people cannot simply go through life advancing science, the arts, and learning--and cooperating towards a mutual happiness and shared delights. It is important that we determine who are superior and who are inferior; who believes as we do, and who does not. In order to do that, we need to know God...and we need to pray for His guidance and for His wisdom. Bin Laden has received this guidance and wisdom. May we all do the same. Let us disprove TSE's thought that the world would end with a whimper...
