I think Arabs and Moslems extremists will become peaceful people, Well, either that, or we'll "put them at peace"... Or more appropriately, out of OUR misery... Unfortunately, this was inevitable... extremist Islam is truly the reactionary cancer spreading through what has recently been a fairly moderate and pragmatic muslim world. But I still believe that many muslims don't want to through their lot in with the extremists, nor support their Jihad. I still say we need to identify and encourage those moderate Imams throughout the world who understand that these fanatics threaten not only the West, but also to pervert the teachings of their prophet and the very foundations of their religion. This perversion of Islam has become more extreme and radical as western values mesh with with Islamic societies, and a clash has been inevitable. It will take a realization amongst moderate Muslims that they must defend the integrity and purity of their faith from these radicals, rather than permitting Islamic teachings to be dominated by those who seek to bastardize the Koran for their own sinister purpose. And Yaacov... I know you're a bit emotional over this all, and so am I. But no one on the US side is going to start flinging around WMDs and killing millions of people. However, I would not put this past some of the extremists.... And such a case, we'll have to figure out how to respond, whether in kind, or in some other manner which limits the loss of life amongst civilians. And that's the crux of this... we're expected to limit damage to civilians because we're a democracy... But that doesn't impede these radicals who are content to kill innocent civilians (completely against the teachings of Muhammed). Hawk@readytodowhatittakestostopthisnonsense.com
