The Kowboy is a Canadian first, an Albertan second and a Calgarian third............depending on the day of the week. Sometimes it's the other way around. I don't always agree with what our politicians do and say which can lead to a reversal in a description of where I am from.

Canada doesn't have an official religion either. Religion makes me nervous when people bring it indoors. I really have no idea why people do that but it seems to happen with all organized religions for some reason. If nature was a result of creation one would think the Creator would want spiritual contact to take place in what he/she created not what man did. Maybe I have gone a bit Indian in my way of thinking but I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing. I have always had a respect and admiration for the culture of First Nations peoples and their bond with nature and the Earth.

I can admit to having said a prayer or two in my time though . None of them all that spiritual in nature. Mainly limited to self interest such as "please God if you let me live I will never drink again." So far the Lord has done a good job of keeping his/her end of the bargain but I must confess to having backslide on my portion of the arrangement from time to time.

Adios,

Kowboy
