Given the damage yesterday, I ran over to listen to the Bear Stearns presentation. It could be titled "burn, burn, burn", and I guess it either scared some shareholders or gave confidence to some shorts or both. I loved it. Great presentation......... building an aggressive company around hot chemistry. Prime munch, would fit great for a merge to add breadth to other good biotechs. But, it's certainly not stylish to stand up and say "we're going to burn cash like crazy" (paraphrased). "Expecting milestone... 4th quarter this year"....... re. the current clinical efforts with thrombin inhibitor. Looking to in-license compounds, "very active discussion with a number of pharmas". Foci for in-license, cardiovascular risk factors and cancer. (that was a once-through, at very low volume and while working on dinner for the kids...... other reviews solicited)
