One consideration that we may be overlooking is how and who made out during previous conflicts. This kind of information is researchable and, at least for some companies, history will repeat itself.

DCX, DAIMLER CHRYSLER AG comes to mind immediately. The M1A1 Abrams. Turbine engines. Not a pure defense play, but the stock is cheap. It's not the same company now that it was during the Gulf War. Does anyone know if they still have defense manufacturing contracts for tanks and Humvees?
