"You prepare a list of liberal causes of destruction, and I'll prepare a list of conservative causes of destruction, and we'll share them. Yours, of course will be almost blank, while mine will take an entire computer to store."

A blank list!!!! My God what a fool you are. In this century the left has killed hundreds of millions while the right has killed few. A blank list !!! Tell that to the countless millions killed by Lenin, Stalin, Chairman Mao and Pol Pot just to name a few. I suggest you read "Death By Government". It might educate you.

As for Hitler it is not clear as to what side he should be linked. His party was after all a socialist party and in the beginning he was highly favored by the left in this country. He was an animal right's activist. He was an environmentalist and many of Margaret Sanger's Planned Parenthood had its roots in their perverted ideas of natural selection. If you view the right as being linked to a religious fundamentalism he fails these tests.

The detour of liberalism in the twentieth century to an enforced statism is a history of horror with no restraint on mass killing for the so-called greater good.
The dark ages of religion are of a previous era. However as we see now they also present a clear and present danger . Capitalism and its culture of freedom are the only alternative to enforced bondage either by the tyranny of state or Church.

Real liberalism does not promote the statist view.
