I agree with most of your post, and I agree that it is not right to force anyone to believe anything. I merely pointed out that to assert that there is no God is a truth claim in and of itself. Even the weaker form of Agnosticism makes the claim that "we can't know for sure" What about those who disagree with that? I just see the whole exercise as being a total failure. It has led every society that has tried it into a nihilistic vortex that seems inescapable. That doesn't mean I think every one should be forced to think like me. Just that the supposed cure, may in fact be worse than the disease itself. Perhaps this is the best that can be done, even as democracy seems to be the best political system absent the direct rule of God, I don't know. It's certainly not without it's down side.
