I'll make it short, Rambi. I apologize for careless use of the word "you" in the first of my two PMs. It was not meant as a personal attack on you - it meant the corporate you - all of AA. Anyway, my bad. In the post I am responding to now, you state, "I am proud to be with American Airlines." Fine. I applaud that. But, if I'm mad as hell at AA, why do you act surprised that I would direct my comments to you? I have no doubt your husband worked long hours to get people home last week. So did we. The only difference is, we don't get paid for it. We know every one of our clients personally and they call here day and night. We then make call after call to airlines and hotels and rental car companies until we can dig up a person who's willing to say, "OK, we can do that." IMO, your reports of my PMs do not convey the high regard I expressed for you and your family. Frankly, I don't think I made any disparaging remarks about any of them. It was inappropriate for me to mention you son last night but I made no qualitative remark about him. In any event you talk about your family constantly (IMO, that's a good thing) and everyone on SI is probably familiar with them. I don't think you should be shocked when someone mentions them. FYI, the airline industry has already failed and it IS a very bad thing for the economy. The carriers will not get well until they ditch the smoke and mirrors. I sincerely wish you luck. I have no intention to use this thread as a soapbox but it's unlikely I will ignore references to American or any other airline. Peace to you and all of yours. Mike
