I wonder if you would give us some sort of update on your own venture to develop a computerized trading system. Have you succeeded?

I have found automated trading to be the perfect form of trading for me, for many of the reasons that OZ mentioned in a recent post. It relieves me of worrying about the moment to moment elements and stress of a particular trade. I'm a believer in "Plan your trade. Trade your plan." If this is your mantra, automated trading can't be beat. In addition, automated trading gives you unbelievable speed => trade analysis, opportunity identification, order placement and execution confirmation as quickly a 0.3 seconds total time elapsed. Finally, automated trading allows you to simultaneously monitor/trade every stock on every exchange, acting only when you find the 'needle in the haystack' that your system requires.

Are you doing any "hands on" trading anymore, or have you incorporated all you decision making into an automated system?

I do some hands-on trading, but mainly for fun. All serious trading is restricted to automation.
