PALLAUM MINERALS LTD ("PLM-V;PLLMF-0") - Mesa Wood #3- Hood County, Texas, Barnett Shale Completion
Mr. B. Caldwell, Petroleum Geologist has recommended that the Mesa Wood #3 well, located in Hood County, Texas, be completed in the Barnett Shale Formation. The thickness of the Barnett Shales drilled was 178 feet out of the total section of approximately 240 feet. The Operator is planning to use a newly developed completion method. The majority of the Barnett Shale drilled exceeded 10 per cent density porosity and the greatest porosity was 19 per cent.

The Company is very pleased with the drilling success in the Hood County property. Since the discovery well drilled late last year, the Company has continued to bring in successful wells. The pioneering efforts have conclusively proven that the Hood County property can be developed into a prolific producer of natural gas. The structural high position of the Barnett Shale formation, the natural porosity and the numerous faults have contributed to success of the Hood County wildcat wells.

The Michell Services gas gathering line has experienced maintenance problems. This has resulted in excessive variable line pressures which has reduced the ability of the wells to reach their flow rate potential. Michell Services have advised the Operator that corrective actions are being implemented to reduce the excessive gas gathering line pressures in the immediate future. The Mesa Wood #4 well drill program has commenced. Drilling time is expected to be eight days. TEL: (604) 687-5257 Stanley R.
