"But it's not relevant to your argument. If the baby is society, it's the separation of church and state folk who are on the side of keeping the baby whole."

Perhaps, but not if start with my premise that humans are more than simply physical beings. I said that human institutions are made up of individual humans, so in my mind cutting out certain aspects of human experience, namely spirituality, within those institutions is analogous to cutting the child in two. Governments enact Laws, and most Laws are based on moral principals. If there is no moral foundation to those Laws then they are nothing more than capricious and arbitrary. All analogies break down at some point, and perhaps I have overstated the connection, but if the baby is society then I think the analogy stands. Who wants to separate them? Who loves the child? The ones who do not want the child "SEPARATED"

Again, I am not advocating a Theocratic government. That will come with the return of Christ. I am just pointing out that SOCAS is one of those things that look good on paper, but fails, when it comes to implementation.

It is a good story.

Have a great day Karen
