Yes 35076 61%

Not sure 14055 24%

No 8011 14%

I think it's a good start and will help long term. Short term maybe not enough as we have ALLOT of holes to plug fast.

Ted Re... then over time, the gov't has confirmed he is the one we are after.<<<<<<<

There seems to be no doubt amongst all of the investigative agencies that Osama was involved. The question is how many others were involved along with Osama.

So, as a young adult, he drifted until he traveled to Afghanistan where he went from being a religious fundamentalist to a religious zealot. At the same time, he became somewhat political and began to oppose the Saudi regime. He became such a problem that the Saudis eventually stripped him of his citizenship, and eventually he made his way back to Afghanistan where he was given sanctuary. Already, this does not sound like the tale of a terrorist.<<<<<<

Huh????? In what possible way doesn't this sound like a terrorist? Talk about denial.

From what I can tell, he lost most, if not all, of his inheritance trying to build roads in Sudan.....apparently he is not much of a contractor/businessperson...the cost overruns on those roads were horrendous.<<<<<<<

Where did you hear this crap??? Osama reportedly has over 300 million.

And if he does, it may be he didn't wager the money because he was not directly involved in the attack and so did not know its timing and/or the nature of the attack.<<<<<<<<<

There is no proof yet, just circumstancial evidence. I wouldn't bet against it yet.

In any case, my point is that the case against bin Laden does not sound so cut and dry. <<<<<

Huh?????? Bin Laden in the interviews you yourself posted, gladly admits he has declared war upon the US, and has backed up his words with deeds. On his training video, he brags about his involvement in the Cole bombing. Why would you possibly need more proof of his waging war against the US? I realize you are against everything GW does, but just because GW declared Osama the prime suspect, doesn't mean GW is necessarily wrong; simply because you think everything GW does is wrong. This denial is getting absurd. All of the investigative agencies think Osama or his terrorism agency, A Quaeda , is responsible.

He does not act nor look like the type of person who is trying to overthrow the US, or bring on Armageddon. <<<<<<<

How can you say this?? Bin Laden in his interviews brags about his efforts to overthrow the US. He has set up camps and reportedly has over 10,000 followers worldwide. How would you possibly know what a terrorist would look like?

....what covert terrorist ringleader gives interviews.

A lot of them, either with or without cloaking, have given interviews; including Arafat, the heads of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Czecknian leader, etc, have all given interviews.

Things just don't seem to add up very well. I can't profess I know a lot about bin Laden and his cronies....I am playing catch up. <<<<

Why bother. You are in such a state of denial, nothing, even Osama's own confession , won't convince you. Just as nothing will ever convince you GW is doing a good job. So be it.

Anyone else have any thoughts?<<<<<

Yes, but you don't want to hear them.
