For example, I would advocate non-violent responses only in our current timber-exports dispute with Canada. ;-)

I agree. A good number of Canadians will suggest that we turn off the electricity we send to the US, until the lumber issue is resolved to our satisfaction. Hey even Home Depot wants our lumber.

Trade is trade, right? Nice and neat, not violent at all.
