Yet... wasn't this "breath argument" -- as expressed by the religious tenet that human life is assumed to be imparted with a soul at birth, and not before... fundamental to the ethical views of most ancient religions on this subject?

Correct me if I'm wrong... I'm by no means an expert on these topics... but wasn't this point-of-view at least a plurality, if not a majority among religious views, when we examine the views of the world's religions throughout history - including the considered opinion of the Catholic Church for at least 80% of it's history?

Furthermore, as I've said here before, since the existence of a soul cannot be proven or disproven by scientific means, this is not a topic for science... but rather for ethics, morality, and religious world-views.

(Science, by definition, concerns itself with natural law, not supernatural. It can only seek to understand that which is amenable to logical and empirical proof.... We can't look to science for answers as to what is "right or wrong" here.)

Enough Tom, go pass a law so women will not have a right to choose this option. Lets go lock up every woman that has had an abortion for murder. The one and if I am not mistaken the first thing that rogue Clinton did do as President was pass abortion for military personnel so women of the military had a right of choice.
