Bilow,
My position is interesting. I would not leave the company I'm at, I would not even leave the group I currently work in. The only thing to change would be the way I'm paid and maybe my headroom. I can stay at my current position and make ~100,000 per year forever, as I get raises I would effectively need to work less hours per week to maintain the income. The new position would possibly lead to a higher position which still would be a much lower annual salary but more options. It's a very hard position to be in. I believe in myself and my ability to equal any given the chance and position. BUT I can stay where I'm at and do the same job as my new position and get paid twice as much and be topped out.
My friends would say that salary alone won't create wealth and the options give this a possibility. I see my extra income as investment income and thus can compensate fir the lack of options.

My lifestyle is better currently. I imagine applying for a loan and reporting income one half what I currently have. These are huge factors in the deal. My life will change...I'm unsure of all trhe details
